I hope that you enjoy the new Website . I am very pleased with it .
This week has been a busy one . Since the start of lockdown I have been teaching online ,mostly using Zoom . What a learning opportunity that has been adding so many new skills to my ‘toolbox’ . Thanks to our wonderful clients who have supported us as we continue to practice Pilates and more recently HITT and power Pilates .
Personally I have adjusted my mindset to teaching online and find it just as rewarding . I have been working in conjunction with another teacher, Kim Harkett and we have supported each other . I have been attending her classes and she mine . I feel much stronger for doing so .
One benefit of working this way means I do more Pilates myself . It has given me routine and structure through the lockdown and beyond.
I have also recently returned to teaching at one venue in Huntingfield. What a treat to see the return of more clients ,some of whom were not able to join via Zoom.
We worked our way through the new regulations and it all went very smoothly. It made the hours of planning worth every minute .
What about the future ?
I plan to keep adding recorded classes to the online section of my website , have a look at the free video on the home page for a taste of an online class . I plan to continue working this way and I am hoping to return to teaching at Stradbroke soon .
Here is an exercise for you to practice at home .
Lie on your back or in a relaxed position. Breathe in for a count of 5 , notice how your lungs , chest and stomach move . Breathe out for a count of 5 . Each time you breathe focus only on your body and try to ignore any thoughts that creep in .
Enjoy the feeling of relaxation.
Best wishes, Nikki
